1. Stirrup Ring

Sterling Silver .925

When you run out of ideas, it's best to think about what was in fashion among 12th-century monks. That's how I arrived at this updated take on a stirrup ring. It's a smooth, simple form. Traditionally, it would have contained a gem and been made of gold, but frankly, gold prices are a little insane right now. I'd rather make something simple, more affordable.

It can be daunting to rack your brain searching for a shape or a form that has somehow evaded the minds of others. Invention can be overrated. Sometimes you just feel inclined to paint the apple on your desk. This ring sticks to tradition and fulfills some yet-unnamed desire I have to be a speck of soot fluttering past the angel of history.
