4. Soda

Bracelet

 Sterling Silver - 16.22 dwt

A lot of the artists I admire have a signature chain link—something distinct that instantly feels like theirs. That was the idea when I started designing the Soda Bracelet. I imagined the link itself would somehow capture some elusive quality of my aesthetics, a dEePEr EsSeNCe. But the thing about that kind of intention is that it only really comes together over time.

After a few wild missteps, I decided to shift gears and focus on something simpler: fun. I modeled the link after a soda tab and let the process be a little looser. I shaped a series of rough-hewn barbells, each one slightly different, and in the end, I landed on something unexpected—an exciting, slightly dumb shape that feels way more satisfying than if I’d actually nailed my original vision.

One note: the magnet clasps can be a little annoying if you like your bracelets tight. I’d recommend going up a half-size to avoid any issues. Or, if you’d rather, I can swap the magnet for a toggle clasp instead. Just let me know.
